By using bags and shopping bags more than once, we reduce the production and consumption of plastic (bags) considerably. And that reduces waste.

Studies have shown that reusable bags and shopping bags are an excellent solution, as long as they are reused at least four times. Change starts with us: if one person replaces the plastic bags he/she uses on average in one week with one reusable bag, that person uses six fewer plastic bags.

Will you do the maths with us? Six bags per week makes 288 plastic bags per year, per person, that won’t be used.

If we don’t do that for one week, but permanently switch over to sustainable shopping bags, then 20,000 fewer plastic bags per person will end up in landfills. And then imagine how huge the effect could be if everyone were to use eco-friendly bags all their lives!
